Purpose:
To monitor and evaluate pending legislative, regulatory,
and legal action at the federal, state, and local levels which
may have an impact on the management of human resources.
Goals:

Monitor and evaluate federal, state, and local public policy issues that may impact the HR profession.

Present, at least quarterly, a legislative update at chapter meetings.

Conduct one chapter program around a federal or state legislative or regulatory issue(s) that impacts the HR profession.

Keep chapter members updated on information provided by SHRM.

Encourage chapter members to communicate with federal and state legislators and regulatory agencies on issues that impact the HR profession (e.g. utilize the email option on the HRVoice web site).
